ABOUT
Samantha Duncan hails from the self-proclaimed weird city Austin, Texas. It was there that Samantha fell in love with ceramics, puns, crocheting, and of course, the art of storytelling.
Drawn to one the most cultured cities in the world, New York City, young Samantha was eager to attend Columbia University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts and Art History.
To keep herself afloat in what is also one of the most expensive cities in the world, Samantha embarked on a journey in the advertising industry after college, working at VIRTUE, the agency born from VICE Media, and Wieden+Kennedy. During her tenure as a junior project manager, client services coordinator, and then digital producer, Samantha created ads for clients such as HBO, YouTube, Delta Airlines, Dove Men, Duracell, Lyft, Johnnie Walker, and Smirnoff.
However, never deterred from her passion for storytelling, she has now fully transitioned into the film & TV worlds and works primarily in the art department on narrative projects. As often as she can, Samantha writes and works on personal projects of her own.
"And this I believe: that the free, exploring mind of the individual human is the most valuable thing in the world. And this I would fight for: the freedom of the mind to take any direction it wishes, undirected. And this I must fight against: any idea, religion, or government which limits or destroys the individual. This is what I am and what I am about."
